RITTER 2020 FAMILY REUNION - “68 YEARS and still Standing Strong”

Dear Ritter Family Members,
Our opening pray for each of you is that God gives you strength and keeps you safe and healthy through these challenging times. We are blessed and highly favored. We are so proud of our Ritter family legacy that endures all the way from Papa Jordan and Momma Nora to the blessings of our new babies born into the family this year. We are also enormously proud of our legacy of 67 consecutive Ritter Family Reunions. Since we are all about “Building A Legacy”, we will not allow Covid-19 to interrupt our tradition!
Accordingly, since we cannot meet in person, you are still invited the 3rd weekend in August to show up to our VIRTUAL 68th RITTER FAMILY REUNION via Zoom videoconferencing. Please celebrate our 2020 Reunion Co-Chairs; Cedric A., Jordan, and Kiki. Planning is already well underway! On Saturday, Aug. 15 you will experience a wonderful and inclusive Reunion program from 2-3:45 pm EST. Our Family Meeting and Worship Service will be held on Sunday, Aug. 16 from 2-3:30 pm EST. To make this virtual experience an enjoyable and meaningful one for all ages, we need some important things from each of you. Please do not procrastinate! Please send what is requested below ASAP.
A pre-registration fee is required for each email address that will be used to access the virtual reunion. We need some resources to implement our plans. Any funds remaining after 2020 reunion expenses are paid, will be used to pay the annual cost of the Family website, to provide seed-money for the 2021 reunion and to re-stablish the Ritter Family Scholarship Fund. (There will be full accounting of all monies received, spent and reserved after the reunion).
Reunion registration fees this year are quite a bargain:
Level 1 Loyal Ritter Reunion Participant $25/per email (this is the minimum)
Level 2* Enthusiastic Ritter Reunion Participant $50/per email
Level 3* Proud Legacy Ritter Reunion Participant $100 and up/per email
*Special recognition at the Reunion
Here is what we need from you:
1. Since this entire production relies on technology, we are asking everyone to reach out to family members who do not have access to emails or technology to offer them support by gathering their information to send in on their behalf. This is important to our goals to be inclusive of all generations.
2. Please send the name and the associated email address you are registering to Reunionritter68@gmail.com. If you are registering multiple email addresses, please be sure to include each name and each associated email address. Separately, please remit the corresponding registration fee participant level (Loyal, Enthusiastic and/or Proud Legacy) you have chosen for each email you wish to register before the deadline of July 31. You will receive your Zoom link(s) on Aug. 13 to the email address(es) you registered. You can:

3. 2020 Virtual Ritter Family Reunion t-shirts will be made available for purchase direct from a website that will be sent to you shortly. You can order and pay for the t-shirts on the website we provide. We will capture special pictures of our virtual experience and seek national coverage of our gathering! Our recognition could be inspirational for others across the country and world – especially in these times!
4. We would love to have one picture of each nuclear family on the “branches or twigs” of the family tree, if available. Pictures in prior family reunion t-shirts would be nice to have, but not required. Please include the names of each person in the photo, left to right. Email the picture as a “jpeg” by July 31 to Reunionritter68@gmail.com .
5. An electronic survey will be sent tomorrow by email for your response ASAP or no later than July 31. No entries can be accepted after this time. We will ask you questions about announcements you wish to have shared at the Reunion. Please feel free to forward the survey to other family members who may wish to respond.
Again, please actively reach out to members in your extended family who are not using technology. We need you to help them submit their contributions to registration and to the survey. This is ESPECIALLY important. (We will also schedule a “trial run” a few days before the reunion for anyone who may want a tutorial on how to enter and participate in the Zoom experience.
Finally, we are desperately trying to get an updated email distribution list for our family members.
